The 2nd Latin-American Conference on Functional Programming will be held in La
Plata, Argentina from October 3rd to 4th 1997. The first edition of this event
was  called 1st Workshop on Functional Programming and was held in Buenos
Aires, Argentina on September 14th,  1996. 
Contributions in all areas related to functional  programming are invited.
Topics include (not exclusive):  lambda calculi, type theory, education,
language design  and implementation, semantics and program  transformation.  In
this issue, strong emphasis will be put in real world  applications of
functional programming.


Submission 

Original full papers or extended abstracts that have not  been published in
other conferences.


Important dates

Deadline for submissions:     July, 1st 1997
Notification of acceptance:   September, 1st 1997


The 2nd Latin-American Conference on Functional  Programming (CLaPF '97) will
be part of the 3rd  Congreso Argentino de Ciencias de la Computacion  (CACiC
'97) and selected contributions will be published  in their Proceedings.
